I am a PhD Student at the Large Scale Text Understanding Systems Lab, Department of Engineering at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) and currently supervised by Prof. Horacio Saggion. My research focus is Natural Language Proccesing, mainly Text Simplification and Question Answering.
Previously, I obtained Master in Engineering at the Natural Language Processing Lab at Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST), supervised by Prof. Taro Watanabe. Also, I received Master in Education at the Department of School Improvement and Policy Studies at The University of Tokyo, supervised by Prof. Yusuke Murakami.

- 2025.10.01: We got the 2nd place (out of 48 submissions) at the TSAR 2025 Shared Task on Readability-Controlled Text Simplification!
- 2025.09.30: Our paper “Towards Trustworthy Lexical Simplification: Exploring Safety and Efficiency with Small LLMs.” was accepted to INLG 2025! arXiv here.
- 2025.07.16: New Role: Organizer for TSAR 2025 Workshop co-located with EMNLP 2025!
Research Interests
My research interests lie in automatic text simplification, with the ultimate goal of enhancing real-world accessibility in areas like education and social inclusion. My current work particularly focuses on the evaluation of simplified texts, taking into account users’ attributes and proficiency.
